Abbey Dore Week, 23rd – 29th July 2017
Course Programme

Sunday, 23rd July
4.00 pm Tea and registration in Abbey Dore Village Hall
5.00 pm Paul's introductory talk
5.30 pm Opening of exhibitions, Private View and Pimm’s party
7.00 pm Supper in Ewyas Harold Village Hall
The daily programme for the week is:
9.30 - 11.00 am First rehearsal in the Abbey
11.00 - 11.30 am Coffee/tea etc in AbbeyDore Village Hall
11.30 - 12.45 pm Second rehearsal
12.45 - 1.10 pm Consort rehearsal. Afternoon free
4.15 - 4.45 pm Consort rehearsal
4.45 - 6.30 pm
exc Weds
Third rehearsal in Abbey (early in the week this may divide into sectionals if needed)
7.00 pm
exc Weds
Dinner at Ewyas Harold Village Hall
9.15 pm Compline sung by the Consort on two evenings of the week.

Afternoon activities
On Thursday you will have the chance to visit to Sir Roy Strong’s renowned Laskett Gardens. The cost of the visit, including admission and minibus transport is £15, payable during the course. Reserve a place

Evening events from Monday to Thursday, other than Compline on Tuesday and Thursday, are yet to be confirmed.

Saturday, 29th July
The plan for the day will be:
9.30 -12.30 pm – Rehearsal in Abbey
12.30-1.00 pm – Consort rehearsal
1.15 pm – Communal lunch at Ewyas Harold
Free afternoon (no evening meal provided)
7.30 pm – Concert
Post-concert Bucks Fizz party at Abbey Dore Village Hall

Sunday, 30th July
The morning after the end of the course there is a Eucharist in the Abbey at which the Consort will sing. All are encouraged to attend. Consort is required at 9.00 am for rehearsal in the Abbey for the service at 10.00 am.
