Camerata Bach motets – St Cross, 5-6 May 2018

Motet: Komm, Jesu, Komm BWV229
Motet: Singet dem Herrn BWV225

Join Paul Spicer to learn and perform these two wonderful but demanding Bach motets in the beautiful setting of the Hospital of St Cross in Winchester. Its church, where the course is to be based, is said to be more like a miniature cathedral than a typical almshouse chapel.

Please note that both motets are very demanding double choir works. We need significant numbers of tenors and basses, and singers will be expected to have thoroughly prepared the music before the weekend.

Recommended edition: Barenreiter

The cost is £115 per person which includes lunches and refreshments. Please note that there is an option for non-singing partners to attend (£20).
